My plants are about 1.5 feet tall, and i figured i should start flowering since ive only got about 3.5 feet of grow space. So i dropped their lighting to 12/12 and fertilized them with 10 10 10 fertilizer and its been about a week and i cant see any buds coming on. the bottom sets of leaves are starting to shrivel up and die though, like the first 3 rows on each plant are shriveling up. so are my plants dieng or is this a natural part of flowering?
I experienced a similar thing. I fertilized my plants with the same fertilizer I had used through the vegetative stage when I switched my light cycles. Over the next week I noticed a lot of the lower leaves turning yellow and wilting. I flushed them with clean water and that seemed to stop the yellowing and whatnot. I believe it is common to flush the plants when you start to flower since they need different nutrients when flowering than they do while vegging.
you need bloom fert like 10 60 10 when flowering the plant needs more P which is the middle number so as long as the middle number is bigger then the other two combined you will be good. and yea i flushed my plants too before i fertilized them
