flowering with metal halide

    If I've been vegging 24/0 with metal halide, can I use the same bulb for flowering? I don't plan on keeping it under metal halide. Switching to hps when I get my paycheck on Friday, but I want to flower now so my plant stays smallish sized. Any thoughts?

    Go ahead and start flowering. I kept my MH in the first week of 12/12, it takes about a week or 2 for it to actually start flowering anyways and leaving the MH in should minimize stretch that first week.

    some people actually prefer to use the MH for the first two weeks... they said it helped retard the stretching, like the previous poster suggested...

    you could try to finish out the flower with it, but my personal feeling is it will be a giant waste of money

    How far away should an hps be from a flowering plant?

    use the hand method and temp gauges as well... keep the temps below 80

    Sweetness. Just switched to 12/12. I'll change the bulb in a few days

    I see it. 400 watts at about a foot is what I'm thinkin
