Flowering too early?

  1. An autoflowering strain was left in normal sunlight (not under HPS or MH) and as has started showing Calyx and Pistils but is only about 4" tall.

Does this mean that it's going to flower and be a very low yielding plant? Has the hesitation in putting it under a proper light been a stupid mistake?!

Or, if it's kept under a MH for a couple of weeks, is it likely to flower for another 6 weeks and be a half decent yield?

    Any help would be great!!

  2. With autos it doesnt matter if its indoors or outdoors it will start flowering after so many days. The exact number of days a breeder may give is just an estimate.

  3. So would you say keep in veg for another couple of weeks then move onto flower?

  4. Thats upto you and if you think it will finish in time before the weather outside gets to cold or wet.

  5. It's indoors, so conditions can be controlled... so if we can keep in veg for longer that would be preferable as we want it to get big, but pistils are showing (lots) and it's only very small!

  6. If its a auto you can not control that at all. Autos are the same as photoperiod plants with the exception that they go into flowering "automatically" based on age not light times. You can dick with the lights all you want and the day it wants to go into flowering it will regardless of what you want.

  7. What's confusing me is that the previous grow seemed to veg for a lot longer compared to this one - using the same seeds from the same pack!

  8. I grow autos and photo period ones but one thing about Autos is there not the most stable plant. They do there own thing. Just have to deal with that. You can have 6 autos from the same seed pack and they all flower on different days or weeks. Just how it is.

  9. Ok thanks dude, much appreciated!! I did notice that each plant seemed quite a bit different on the last grow!
