Flowering questions

  1. I'm currently in the process of buying seeds that I'm going to be growing outdoors. I'm in Massachusetts, we get frosts by October, which is around the time when most plants are ready to to be harvested.

Is there any way that I could start a plant that is supposed to be harvested in late October 2 months early indoors, transplant it outside in the spring and harvest it two months before in late august or early september when its not too cold?

or do I have to take my chances with the freeze?

I'm new to growing so I might be asking a dumb question here. Help would be appreciated tho thanks!

  2. If you put your plant outside in spring time then it will just continue vegging until august then it will start to flower...unless you manually cover and uncover your plant every 12 hours which is very possible but a pain in the ass..

  3. ya that's kinda what i thought. Does anybody have any strains that they would recommend for growing outdoors in massachusetts? I just don't want to put in all that work and then have to scrap my plant because of weather issues. Thanks a bunch

  4. or am I over thinking the entire issue? once again I'm new at this, so any advice would be much appreciated

  5. Why not just grow indoors??........

  6. I rent and don't really have an opportunity to grow in my house, but my buddy owns his own house and we're teaming up to try both indoor and outdoor. I was just wondering if anybody from around my area recommended anything, or if anybody would recommend anything that they know what work for my area.

  7. I have yet to "buy" any seeds, still playing with bagseed. But I have looked at some of the seed sites and they have them borken down by outdoor/indoor types and then again flowering time. So you should be able to look through the catalogs and find short season plants suitable for outdoor growing
