I read in a thread here once that it is possible to flower one small branch (to verify sex) on a plant by placing a light proof cup over it for 12 hours a day while the rest of the plant is in 24-0. Can anybody verify that this would work? It seems like it would work alright, but I would worry about the branch not getting air flow for 12 hours a day. Would that be a problem?
although I've never tried it, I've read a few stories that this is quite do-able. a few things to note tho - use a lower branch if possible only the growing tip needs to be 12/12 make sure it's absolutely pitch dark
