  2. I'm gonna vote right now for 3000k qb. 301h if possible, rspec debatable, but I love my 3000k for pure flower. The only thing I know that is close would be the old hid tech, like hps. But you can cover quite a few square feet with $380 worth of 3000k. You can also burn the crap out of them with qb, so don't think you need to overdo it. More is probably not better. They seem to do best for growers who cant quite afford all they want.

  3. Thank you..much apreciated

  4. Plants need about a 2 ft x 2 ft area, or 4 sq ft each.
Five plants will need about 20 sq ft total.
With good LEDs you might be able to get by with 25 watts per sq ft, but 30 would be a little better.
At 25 watts per sq ft, you'll need about 500 watts.
It is nearly impossible to find good LEDs for less than $1 per watt.
That implies at least $500 for you for the best LEDs.
You can find blurple lights or less efficiet LEDs for less, but that's a downgrade.
These chinese knockoffs get good reviews from a lot of users.
Prices are very cheap, but shipping is expensive.
LM301H + CRE XP-E2 660nm + UV IR, LM301H + CRE XP-E2 660nm + UV IR direct from Shenzhen Kingbrite Lighting Co., Ltd. in CN
There are many different lights that might fit your needs.

  5. Thank you i apreciate the advice and help

  6. As cheesy as this is going to sound... I have actually thought it'd be pretty damn cool to hang a few of these:
    7bulb.PNG

And fill them with 60w LED bulbs in the color of your choice (mix of 3500k and 6000-6500k perhaps). It will allow up to 420 watts.

You would hang them with these:
    Capture2.PNG

What an inexpensive way to get a lot of light and be damn flexible too. The plant won't know the difference, it's lumens!

Now that aside, I would just consider maximizing your PPFD for the dollar. $380 to cover that many plants is a tough sell man. I would say closer to $500 is a much safer bet.

These are some of the lights I researched when I bought mine (check them out on amazon). You could consider 2x any of these for ~$380:
    Spider Farmer SF-1000
    LAMPSOUL 1200w
    AGLEX 1200W COB LED
    Mars Hydro TS1000
    Niello COB LED 600w

  7. don’t waste your time nor money bud

they don’t pull much at all. They will have zero canopy penetration

buy a qb board of one kind or another

  8. This could work, but it will require a lot of bulbs.
I've got some "100 watt replacement" Led bulbs that are 17.5 watts each and 3000 K spectrum.
To get up to 500 watts would require 29 of them.
That's the main problem, these bulbs would take up a lot of space, and be a lot of things to mess with.
Grow lights are much more practical, but not necessarily better.

3000 K photons don't care where they came from.

  9. Yeah I don’t disagree with you guys. Just not sure how he can cover 5 plants for $380. I don’t think there’s an ideal way to do it. I dropped $550 to cover just 3 plants.

  11. Your gonna struggle to flower them beauties with only $380. It’s hard to judge size by the pots but they look big, How much space do you think there gonna take up?

  12. Ive trained them to fit inside my closet..but im going to put all 5 in my sparebedroom..its a smaller room not home to measure..plants are about 2ft from dirt to tip all 5 are roughly close in height..thank you for helping

  16. smaller than Ithought. So maybe each one no more that 2x2ft? If it was 4 then could maybe get away with a 4x4 or 5x5 space.
need to know what space you settle on really but for your budget most likely best going with the traditional hid lights

    1 pk qb132 v2, 3500k ~ $135
Frame, cord, nuts bolts etc $20

n pick a spider, Mars, or whatever amazon knock off, or kingbrite 240w for $140 shipped.

look into the seller if u buy kingbrite. Ask around here or other fourms......don’t go with someone unknown
