Ok so I was reading this Cannibis grow bible, and one of the suggestions it has is to cut clones, and put the clones into Flowering to see the sex of them before you are out of vegging? Then you can go ahead and scrap the dudes and keep the ladies... Has anyone does this? I'm about 10 days or so left before I put into 12/12 anyways... would I get any benefit out of flowering the cuttings and seeing sex? Also, while reading the threads... I've read that if your ladies Hermie on you, that you can just cut the branch of the balls or cut balls off... Does that work? Will that keeep your ladies from pollinating?
If you're 10 days from flowering...don't bother...2 weeks to root clones, 7-14 days to show sex...your plants will show before your clones... The method is sound though...just do it earlier next time... If your plant does hermie, you can try to pick off the balls...chances are that you'll miss a few hiding somewhere and end up with a seeded crop...:/
Yup...unfortunately... If a hermie happens late enough into flower you might be okay, but I'd pull it anyways...just to be safe...
Ok, thanks IF! So if I'm cutting clones at about 4 weeks.... can I immediately put them into flower or will I stress them by doing so?
Awesome man! Thanks again for you help! I have a round of Barney's LSD and Dutch Passion Blueberry coming next week... this will be helpful!
