  1. ok well really not in 2 days im going to the stroe today to buy a cloen box i guess they are plastic and are there to build up moisture for the plants so they dotn dry up under the light but im getting big rock woll cubes and im going to be doing about 10 clones from all my plants and im putting them under the light :) im going ot have to put up a wall or something so the light does not affect my flowering babies but its correct to take cuttings form the plant before flowring right? and when i cut them use a rasor blade and slice it right off at the stem and quickly put it in a root solution? then put it into a wet rockwoll cube and then in the clone box for a few weeks to root correct? tell me what i should do

  3. Assuming you grew from seed; make sure you mark them so you know which clones to throw out when the ones in flower go male.

  4. so your saying watch them and mark each one and watch the ones i got clones from to see what goes male if the plant goes male throw the clone away?

  5. The best way is to clone from the bottom of a plant that you already know is female. Make sure your blade has been cleaned with Isopropyl rubbing alcohol before you cut. Then cut at a 45 degree angle, a lower branch. Cut enough so that there are a few nodes or levels of leaves. Try to make the cut under water or run the cut end under water after cutting and dip it into some cloning powder or gel. Put the dipped end in the rock wool. Put a dome over them, I use a Wal-Mart bag and open twice daily to spray them. Put them in the periphery of the HID or Fluoros, not right underneath them. Check the bottom for roots. Should take 5 days to 3 weeks for good roots to form. Good luck.

  6. I wouldn't suggest taking clones from a plant already in flower so you won't have any idea of sex yet, so if you are growing from seed yes mark the clones (i make a little tape flag on a needle and stick them into my rockwool cubes) and mark the plant they came from (on the pot is fine) so they correspond to their mother plant. This way you wont waste time vegging the clones from the plants you find out to be male and you will know exactly how many plants you will have come harvest.

Do this at the time you take the clones so you wont have any confusion as to which plant they came from.

Humidity and warmer temps will be your best friend for rooting clones, that and practicing good hygiene with your tools. If you have a humidity dome dont forget to pop it open every night or so or you will end up with mold.

  7. I agree not to take from a plant already in flower but, sex can be determined on a plant before it goes into flower. I think it is a waste to take clones from a plant you don't know the sex of because it is a waste of time, energy, resources and is renders more work then necessary to get successful clones.

  8. I sex all my plants by taking clones and putting them directly into flower when I start fresh on a seed grow. I just hate the bag method I suppose.
