flower nutes

  1. How much ferts should I use? I am nearly 5 weeks into flower (1st grow in sig), and am getting severe deficiencies symptoms. I've been using a 5-5-5 fert with all the chelated elements. I've only been using it 1/4 strength once a week, but that's because I over ferted during early veg. Should I go full or half strength? :confused_2:

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

  2. What deficiency symptoms? Most flower ferts have a much higher phosphorous ratio, so that could be your problem. But if you didn't get your plants pumped full of nitrogen (without burning them) before flowering, then you can run into a nitrogen deficiency in the flower stage and sometimes need to give a boost of N.

I wouldn't increase the fert strength until pinpointing the issue.

  4. The plants were badly burnt in early veg, so had way too much nitrogen. Nitro def is the least of my worries at the moment, it looks much more like phosphate and potassium deficiency. It's the 1st grow journal in my sig, the last pic shows the problem, although it has progressed somewhat.

  5. Looks like you might have two problems going on. I see some burned edges, that looks like a potassium deficiency. I also see the spots, which could be a calcium deficiency. But I'm not a big expert on specific nute deficiencies, I have been lucky enough not to experience too many.

What's your pH? Before you try to correct a nute imbalance make sure you aren't locked out.

  6. PH is 6.2 so no lockout. I'm going to go ahead and give one plant full strength nutes, and see how it goes. If it works then the other will be fertilized too. The hairs are beginning to turn amber now, is it too late to fert?
