  1. Soooooo never tried complete naked but some say it helps. Just finished week 6 veg the flip has begun. I'm 2 weeks ahead of my first grow and this plant is already about 5-6 inches taller and same bushy ness. 20200910_104922.jpg

  2. That's a bold move. I have been trimming up my first outside grown and a couple of plants look pretty naked but I did it steps.

Keeps posting, maybe do a weekly I'd love to see where it goes.

Last year did less trimming but had to defoliate in less then 6 days this time so went a little bold lol. That's a 1 week time period in those pics 20200522_144052.jpg 20200527_172127.jpg

  4. Remarkable for sure I'm not sure I would be comfortable that the plant isn't diverting too much energy from flowering to making new leaves.

Don't get me wrong I'm disciple of defoliating, it just seems to me that there is a balance and taking too much would be more harmful than helpful.

I appreciate you keeping up with this real world example!

  6. Over did the defoliation. Basically want to strip everything underneath about halfway up. Then top of canopy just expose bud sites.

  7. Beautiful little budlets forming pretty happy on this grow actually controlling my ph has helped. And using nutrients also bonus. Week 1 flower complete. 20200922_134203.jpg 20200922_134147.jpg 20200922_134152.jpg

  8. I tried that last time and canopy was so thick 4 days later had to move a bunch of leaves and trim some. Is that normal or is there a way to slow that down

  10. What you’re doing is called schwazzing. However, you’re not supposed to do first schwazzing until first sign of flower, pistols showing. Then you do it again 20 days later. I learned how to do it from an employee of Joshua Haupt. He’s the one that coined the word scheazzing, in his book, about the method. So he’s basically The Godfather of this method! I see a lot af people on Grasscity attempting it, but do it wrong by schwazzing at flip!
There’s a before and after of one girl. You can also see the sea of colas! C0EF76C0-043F-4D67-962B-05E5DA0EA5EC.jpeg 4E8EDF4F-F194-45C6-B0FC-F62E63E19449.jpeg 5627756A-0796-4809-ADDF-B7C25D2D2453.jpeg E948AB77-DA1D-4160-A966-DDECC42FB0C0.jpeg

  11. Pistols were showing for about 10 days before I went to town. So 20 days later do it same way? Scares the crap out of me. But it's getting close if that's the case

  12. Generally you do it at first sign of flower and again 20 days later. I’d maybe go 15-17 days in you're situation, since you did it so late. You remove EVERY fan leaf you can safely remove without damaging buds. It can also be done a 3rd time, 40 days after first schazzing. However you only do that if you have a crazy leafy strain, otherwise don’t touch it. But you have to be on schedule to do 3rd at 40 days and you’re not.

  13. Yessir all the nutrients are going to everything left so they seem to shoot up straighter. A trellis net helps to spread them out into squares.

  15. I applaud you sir. This is inspiring!! I am in day 8 of flowering and I am still side eyeing for those lady pistles. I haven't nearly deflowered like that. I've only been removing the big leaves and doing some LST. I hope mine looks like yours at day 19.
