Awesome job Florida! I'm so glad that the Supreme Court made the correct decision, I was a little worried with all the controversy Pam Bondi was stirring up complaining about the wording and what not whilst there are thousands of people who are in dire need of this plant... With approximately 80% of Florida supporting the legalization of medical marijuana, I think there is a very good chance of this passing and Florida being the first state in the south to have medical cannabis available. Thanks to all who signed the petition and helped support the movement. Keep up the good work and I hope for the best for you guys in November of this year! -- http://www.tampabay.com/news/politics/medical-marijuana-to-go-to-ballot-florida-supreme-court-rules/2162912 http://www.miamiherald.com/2014/01/27/3896249/medical-marijuana-headed-to-florida.html http://www.mynews13.com/content/news/cfnews13/news/article.html/content/news/articles/cfn/2014/1/27/medical_marijuana.html
Wooohoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo. Time to become major activists/promoters in these 9 months to go. Make friends/family aware and get them out to vote... Florida will become THAT state with legalization, Cali on the East.
Honestly I think FL will indeed be the first state to legalize for med use in the south. As lefties from up north move to FL,etc. That said, I won't be shocked if it doesn't pass the first time around. Didn't California have this problem? As in it took them multiple attempts to legalize for medical use simply because no one was showing up to vote for it. However, medical pot has been in the news a lot recently, mostly favorable. By NOV hopefully FL can see how well other states are doing and go "well fuck it ill vote". My friend who is in FL linked me to his local new's station website..and of course they are starting with the propaganda as it's a right leaning website. Basically they were like "See what this will mean for your workforce" basically sitting there trying to say you can show up to work high and shit. I was like "erm no, MMJ card only means employers cannot hold that against you or a failed drug test, that does not give MMJ pateitns the right to show up to work stoned. Being a legal MMJ patient doesn't prevent you from getting the axe if you show up to work baked and suck at doing work.
