Florida Medical Marijuana Advocates Claim Impending Victory

Discussion in 'Marijuana News' started by thebeaver50, Jun 4, 2013.

  1. Supporters of legalizing marijuana for medicinal purposes in Florida are sure 2014 will be the year their wish becomes reality.
“Florida is ready to explode,” said Jodi James, executive director of the Florida Cannabis Action Network. “We firmly believe that Florida patients will have legal access to cannabis by November 2014.”

  2. man i hope

  3. Florida is to the East Coast what L.A. is to the West. It's about time! Hopefully NY state will be next.

  4. Maybe they should focus on getting the information to all those old republicans down there..have some veterans who use MMJ do some seminars...elder folks are stubborn as fuck maybe they'll listen to veterans who can vouch for it uses.

  5. God damn I hope so fucking bad!

  6. Yeah and if we found out that it helped with PTSD in any way than it would create a big push for allowing use to veterans, than that would help medical patients also and maybe someday allow it in the military. I know that the Army is pretty sensitive to PTSD now and days and you can claim it very easily. So if something helps cope with it they will be for it a long long way down the line. That's just my dream having it allowed in the army even though I know it won't happen. They rather push us soldiers towards drinking and using unknown chemicals like spice. I tried spice and hated it when I was being drug tested regularly.

If I'm not mistaken there is a "Golden Tour" that travels around educating seniors about the benefits of Cannabis. And also I beleive its run by seniors..

  8. Florida is politically more important than maybe any other state.  Florida has the power to sway the opinions of many politicians across the country.  Because of this we might see the opposition fight hard and dirty to keep the status quo.

  9.

Once the medical facts about cannabis become known, the need for legalization becomes obvious! So educate them! :yay:

  11. Florida Just passed the bill banning the sale of bongs. As someone who lives here let me tell you it's not likely.

  12. Florida is ass backwards. It probobly won't pass :(

  13. Probably not. Tax haven of the rich along with a few other states.

As far as the Public Opinion goes...Florida is already there. The only thing holding us back is legislature and previously lack of funding. This year seems unrealistic to me for a victory, but I'd definitely say by 2016 it will pass, and most likely by referrendum. I've been watching FL from Tally for years now and I can tell you even old Republicans smoke the reefer.

All we need is a governor that isn't a childish corrupt criminal that puts money in Drug Testing companies and then passes a law requiring tens of thousands of drug-tests. I've been wanting to open a dispensary here in FL with my brother as soon as the law passes. Plenty of people need it here. Btw, fuck Rick Scott

  15.
Sorry I wasn't quite sure on the name. It had been a while since I had heard of it and it was in one article. But at least there is a program that is doing what they are doing..

  16. I think the feds finally turned the "Black Tuna" loose and are allowing him to speak for the Silver Tour,,the feds messed up,,they had an old judge make the decision and when Bobby explained what they were doing.informing elderly of the positive effects of marijuana for the elderly he took the travel restrictions off the eager beaver fed prosecutor tried to make Bobby quit giving the talks.
I have not heard yet how the federal prosecutor could restrict travel for a parolee that had already completed his parole several years earlier.
