Florida demonstration(s)

Discussion in 'Marijuana Legalization' started by gromky, Jan 22, 2010.

  1. As many of you already know, Florida is one of the most anti-marijuana states in the US, if not the most. Ironically, it also has the largest drug trafficking route in the US, and has a bunch of old people and has the potential to be a bastion of MMJ. I think the Florida smokers should unite and start having increasingly-large demonstrations. Perhaps first targeting bigger metropolitan areas, with significant counter-cultures, such as Tampa, Jacksonville, Tallahassee, and Miami. There should be tons of support in the Panhandle as well, with all the party spots and tourism. If we can begin to organize and get our message out, I believe Florida has the potential to be extremely progressive about marijuana laws.

So this is a call to smokers in Florida and the entire Southeast. There are enough of us to make a huge difference! I'm in Northcentral FL, so if anyone would like to have a Jacksonville or Tallahassee demo, let's make it happen! GC alone has enough Florida and Georgia smokers to have a decent turnout.

  2. Check out www.pufmm.org. they got a petition flying around to legalize medical marijuana in Floorduh.

  3. We gotta let the swampies smoke!

  4. I can't do that petition, because I don't have a printer :(
Why can't they just have an online one?

  5. Because the government is a Bureaucracy and since there is no way the government can control the internet or anything similar to that, a paper trail is the easiest way to go.

If your that serious about the cause, go up to a print shop.

If they have any questions, I say convince them to be the first to sign.

  6. Yeaaaa. I live in the swamps, bro. We ain't got no print shops.

  7. Well then if you cannot work to aid the initiative then work to discredit people who push the prohibition, inform and educate. Sadly there is no initiatives in my state for the decriminalization, so all I can do is inform the public that there is no need for this mindless war on drugs. Prohibition does not work.

  8. Yea, I've been spreading the message around, as well as the change.org petition. Wednesday, I actually converted one of my old teachers from being anti-herb to fully supporting legalization. :)

  9. you can find a 5 dollar color printer on e bay. Bamo! print shop.
