flood & drain 2k watts 2 starins AI & NL

DAY 24 since i flipped to 12/12 HOw they looking for my 1st hydrosetup???????

well this is my 1st hydro grow got away from the soil to inconsistent for me ....im loving the hydro setup ..i dont think i will ever look back to soil ....aslong as the finished product looks great smells great and high is good ill stick to flood and drain

i only use Sensi BLOOM A & B and hydrogenperoxide i keep it simple NO ADDITIVES AT ALL .....keeping it clean

buds are finally starting to form up..i trimmed most of the branches that wont reach the light and some extra ...i wanna see how big the main colas get with trimming the bottom half of the plant ..never done it before but with so many plants jammed in there you have to do it ...

For equipment i have 2 1k watts digi ballasts + 600 digi for my moms ..2 4x4 white trays..1 DEHU ..i use my house central ac unit to cool down the room .....1 40 gallon rez ..3 pumps ..1 for each tray and one that sits in the rez constantly stiring up the tank....i have four 18 inch fans moving air around the room ... 1 8 inch vortex fan ....i stopped using the aluminum ducting for the lights since my vortex fan kept punching holes in them so now i use plastic ducting with insolation a little more money than the aluminum stuff but works wonders and it wont rip from the vortex...i use no carbon scrubbers no need for them yet .... i live out in the middle of nowhere ....driveway has a gate so no wonderers comming up to my house .....and if the do they have to meet my Rotti before they knock lol...

The only thing im going to change is im going to put hydroton or rockwoll slabs in the trays to keep roots covered and let them stretch there legs better and to keep algae at bay .... Both hydroton and slabs have there pros and cons.....

the strains im Growing Are Arora Indica ...and northerlights by nirvana

this setup runs about 46$ per month for each 1k light running 12/12
for the 600 watt light it costs about 39$ a month running at 18 hours a day
plus one 8 inch vortex 4 18inch fans three 396 gph pumps and a dehu about and extra 50-60 amonth for that stuff... i dont include central ac cause that would be on anyways during the day ....my electric bill has never been above 266 a month....

 

plants are doing fantastic today ...they always look like they want more food ....i flood my tray every 6 hours once at 8 am when they wake and again at 2pm and then at 8 pm ....then around 2am when lights are off the table only floods for 2 min just to get the roots wet again not the whole tray....

for this setup im using sensi bloom A & B ....i feel like they have been watering there nutes down ....it used to take 3/4 of a 1 liteer bottle of each to get the Ec at 1.4-1.5 ...when i did a rez change it took the whole bottle of both of them to reach the same EC as before maybe bad bottles not sure yet ...ill most likely run Canna next run or split the trays and keep Sensi in and run a side by side......i also noticed that the water turned a light black for some reason never did that before maybe because i used the whole bottle of each ...its pissing me off though .....plants dont seem to mind they are loving it so i wont change the water until next week unless i see problems .....

im so impatient i want this grow to finish already so i can change acouple things that will help promote faster growth .....im about to order 3 more 4x4 trays, 3 more 1k lights and 2 more 8 inch vortex...im also going to run individual 40 gallon rez for each tray so i can tinker with EC levels and really max them out...

im using greenhouse hps/mh from htg pretty cheap look for complete setups u can mix and match hoods with ballasts and diffrent bulbs.....have fun ill upgrade mine to dimmable in the future but for now they keep the plants pretty happy

 

a little update of pics ....moms are getting outta control and i dont need clones right now ...not sure what to do ......i was thinking to shut off the 600 watter and just drop a couple cfls in so they dont grow ao damn much......look at the above pic of my moms when they were taken what a diffrence

everything is going great ...i just wish i would have put hydroton or slabs down 1st before i flowered ...the main colas i perdict will get much bigger next run .....but anyways evrything still the same ph at 5.7-5.8 ppm at 1020 i think im going to bump it up some more in the next week and then its flush time ...i have some clearx that will finish up using so i can get another week out of the plants with nutes ...im going to run the last week with just ph water and clearx....Anyone have any experiance using clearx and ebb& flow.....ive used it in soil and it works pretty good ...expected chop time is july 9th but i perdict i will run it for an extra 5-7 days ..

well took clones today 35 in total & will be taking 60 more tomorrow...ran out of 1.5inch rockwool cubes this will be the last time i run 5 diffrent phenos ill be figuring out which ones are the best and will only stick with 2-3 ...ill be keeping all moms in buckets with airstones simple and easy and growth for as many clones i need works wonders

Ec meter for starters a good one not an el cheapo one that u have to throw out in 3 months cause it shit the bed...And some good nutes ...i would say R/o filter but not sure what u have for tap ...i have Well water that comes out at 5.8 and never rises with the nutes that i use...LOL i could go on and on and on about things to buy ...If ur going with hydro next time go with 2x2 flood tables or bigger u will never be dissapointed ...IF u go 4x4 u need atleast a 40 gallon rez ..im going to stop there ..Its a never ending list of crap u need ....

Just me asking here do u have something in mind for Hydro? what kinda setup ur going for???
