May I ask a question related to this?
What's the general time it takes for a plant to show sex if you hold at 18 hours of light.

In other words, if I keep the plants in veg longer than 6 weeks, will they eventually show sex pre sex?

Or do some plants never show pre sex and you have to flower them?

If Kush70 intends to just determine their sex then return them back to veg if they're female, could he just keep them in veg until they show pre sex then dispose of the males.

I guess it depends on how much space you have and whether or not they'll show in a reasonable amount of time.

Yes, a vegging plant can show preflowers around 6+ weeks old. They don't always do it, but it's certainly possible.

Females will be very obvious with the pistils popping out, but males are tough. It's hard to determine if it's a male preflower or just a developing female preflower that hasn't popped a pistil yet. In that case just wait until you'd flower normally to tell.

Personally, if I don't get any preflowers I'll just wait until normal flowering to determine sex. The flip to flower, then reveg, then flower process takes too long for me.

I would top the plants and put the cutting under 12/12 so the cutting show the sex.
reveging the plants could take 6 weeks before flowering them off again
