Flip flop the 12/12

  1. What is the best way to go about flip floping the light period? It is getting way to cold at night and the room I'm using gets cold as well, there is also no register in the room. I have no themometer but my best guess is a high of 75-80 and a low of 50-55. I could always get a heater and another timer and have the heat come on at night, if flopping the 12/12 would stress the plants too much. I aslo need some advise on Superthrive: Should it be used during flowering?

  2. Im not sure about the light question. But as far as superthrive, i would go to homedepot and get the superbloom for flowering. If you need an explanation why im more than glad to help yah.. just real high right now and just woke up.. little foggy headed :p

  3. If you have been very good about a strict light schedule and will continue in the future, then you could extend the dark period to 24 hours one day and then continue 12/12 on the flipped schedule from then on out.

  4. I'm using budswel 0-7-0 for the P, just was wondering if superthrive's trace stuff would benifet me or slow the flowering prosses. Thanks for the lighting tip.

  5. I don't think you're supposed to use superthrive in flowering except very early on. I think it will leave a chemical taste in the bud if you use it too far in. Since you're just starting, go ahead and give it a dose. It's only helped my plants.

  6. If it's getting colder now would be a good time to 12/12.
Outdoors a marijuana plant will flower once the days begin to get colder and the light period shortens.
    It should be fine.

  7. If it's cold at night, simply run the lights at night and have the dark period during the day. That should eliminate such extremes in temp.

  8. That's what the poster wants to do but is concerned about flipping the light schedule 12 hours from his normal routine. Also, I would tend to agree with the poster than said give em 24 hours and start new schedule. The plant must slow down in growth for a few days but I think it would be fine.
