Flight info printed, hotel booked, bags packed...

    I think I'm going to AMSTERDAM!!! I think the only way to express this excitement is with the following:

    I've said this again and again but tomorrow is the day. A full write up of the trip will be posted first thing monday morning....

    HELL YEAH!!..........lol.........what a place, have a good one, and try a burger from one of those places that has the machines........it's like a shop with lots of tiny little doors in it, and in each door is diffrent food, you put the coins it........it heats the burger and you open the door...........how cool!...........now that is fast food.........Peace out........Sid

    cos the security at the airport was VERY lax. If it didn't make a metal detector beepy noise and it fit in your trouser pocket then it got through.... and I had NOTHING illegal on my person WHATSOEVER. Crapola! Meh well... Full report of the trip later today as I just typed the whole thing out and it was wiped. SHIT! Can't be bothered now...

    It's called a 'snackbar' and a typical Dutch phenomena. A famous snackbar chain is 'FEBO'. Try fricadellen, kaassoufflé's, nasischijven, bamischijven and kroketten. Everyone from abroad loves it!
    And don't forget to visit The Bulldog coffeeshop. They sell an excellent -Woody approved (wink...wink...)- White Widow to smoke yourself silly!

    I don't know wher this eatery idea started but New York City had one before WWII. I saw it in 1948 and it looked kinda shopworn then. It was very famous and many tourists just had to see it (including me). It's probably long gone now. It was called the Automat and was a lot of fun. I think I had a piece of apple pie. I will look up the one in 'dam next year.
