  1. Okay. I searched around and could not find any thread about this.

So lets see your pipes you got from a flea market! Im heading to mine this saturday to pick one up because there is a TON of vendors. So Im curious to see what you guys have picked up from there!

    Post pics :D

  2. Lots of people on here dont get pipes from flea markets because alot of them are china made soft glass, and people on this site generally have a higher standard when it comes to weed, real thick glass, custom made or made by a real company or made from local blowers.

Hope to see what you get though.

  3. You can get some local blown stuff though. Some of the pipes ive held from there were nice and heavy. Talked to one of the owners and he is a blower himself. It all depends on the market i guess. Super Excited to pick my piece up Saturday

  4. I love the fleas......you can get anything and the atmosphere is half the fun.....wtf is soft glass? Isn't that just what it is when it's blown

  5. I dont buy pipes from flea markets because i dont smoke meth ;) justt kidding i love the flea market so much good shit and then so much plain shit its awesome.

There's these VW bus driving hippies that sell some sick local spoons and sherlocks at the flea market around here. There's also other vendors but their tables are full of jank china glass.

never tried a flea market for glass, although i agree with what most of the people here are saying, i only buy hardened glass or super thick glass from reputable companies.

Edit: Local blowers can be good too, but you gotta browse their quality.

  8. My nearby flea market is my main supplier of glass/papers/wraps, I even got my vaporizer there. It's full of laxed people with plenty of hook ups.

  9. I picked up the pipe below from my local flea market for around $25. They have great stock: Grinders, bongs, vaporizers, papers, glass & metal, stash cans. Ahhhh.

  10. There is borscilica (spelled wrong probably) glass which is what your cooking pans are made of, ie Pyrex. Then there is "soft" glass which doesn't have the same strength or thermal properties. I personally never ever ever buy soft glass but then again the cheapest pipe I've purchased in the last 4 years was $65 for a small spoon. I have not broken a piece by dropping it either. I broke the bottom of a bowl with a poker once but that's my fault.

Nice! I have never even been to my local flea market  I guess I should go and see what's up, from the road it looks like a bunch of trash buying and selling trash but then again it may just be this one flea market near me.

    Peace

  11. My first pipe ever was from one. It was like 35, but prob only worth like 12. Marbles had seams, the glass was thin. Gave it to a friend and only gotten quality glass since.

If the glass blower would have put a little more effort into this I could of been super unique. He could of made it look like a hand, and then you could of named it buttscratcher!
