This is my first summer in this house and people who lived here before have gardens an plants everywhere. One garden is herbs, I'm working on identifying what is what. My question is if I picked some nice smelling herbs and placed them in the jar with the bud if it would add to the smell or taste. I'm worried more about the smell. This isn't for a harvest yet, I just have a half oz that I'm not ready for yet so I have it in a jar opening the lid every day, hoping the extra cure will improve it. It's pretty skunky right now. One of the herbs is called "Lemon Balm" and it smells like lemon. Could it cause mold or any other bad things? I was also wondering about a vanilla bean, I know those have quite a bit of moisture within them.
