So, from a business and consumer perspective, I am curious as to if anyone has any thoughts on this:

New marijuana products are eventually going to be mass produced within the next 10-20 years (stemming and originating from Washington and Colorado of course at first), and I cannot wait until I can get a box of Candy-Cane flavored Trainwreck, with sleek, thin red stripes on a virgin white package.....

But seriously, this is going to become a reality, eventually.

Bongs, pipes, marijuana paraphanalia can be COLORFUL as hell, as we all know.

As a Cannabis Consumer, I feel like flavors and colors would be attractive on packaging, however, will federal regulations stop this, just like they had with cigarettes?

    AND:

If Alcohol can have as many flavors as they want, why can't the less-impairing cannabis?

Therefore I say flavoring would likely be allowed over time. The colorful packaging, not so much.

    Thoughts, Opinions?

  2. If anything it will be up and around for a few years, then might be regulated and stopped, however as it can be grown, if they start genetically modifying cannabis to be pretty colours and have unique tastes, then im pretty sure we would be able to buy the seeds and grow it ourselves, that would be awesome.

Another thought, imagine if they could change the smell characteristics of it, like if you were to grow it, it smelled like rosemary instead of cannabis, that would be cool.

  3. Yeah, that sounds about right. And I never thought about it that way either, it would definitely blur the lines as people make "pineapple kush" and "mango kush" strains that taste more and more fruity. That's gonna cause some issues perhaps.

Another possible issue is the difference in strains. It's been proven that strains cause different effects (though all within a range of the same certain effects), but there's a ton of people out there who still can't tell or don't know anything but "weed" from "weed".

  4. Why not just keep the plant natural?
I mean its an amazing plant just the way it is!

  5. I prefer marijuana flavored marijuana. It already tastes good enough by itself.

  6. Just more extreme strains of bud will arise. The smoker population likes weed the way it is. The part that will buy for flavor will be more tempted by the wide range of edibles and drinks. There might be other herbal and chemical mixtures but spice and other chemical drugs have done their part to make that extremely challenging to mrket.
There will always be natural weed

  7. Why fuck with a good thing? Yeah, I know - $$$.

  8. If your looking forward to the mass producing of marijuana, your gonna be losing the whole natural part about it. Those pre-rolled joints are gonna contain nasty additives. Sighh, stay true to all natural. Flavoring your weed would require chemicals . I'm not tryin to smoke that

  9. Doubt it, the marijuana community as it is, avoids that sort of stuff, sure there might be some, but there will also be the "organic" versions, were nothing is added, similar to the fruit and vegetable market today, you will have your lower quality mass produced fruit for every day consumers, and for your more health aware and specialist's you will get the organic and unique fruit.

  10. whats wrong with rolling your own joints people? keep it more personal & recreational. dont get lazy stoners! leave it how it already is. once legalization & decriminalization hits grow your own weed, make it less difficult for society to enjoy the herb!
