It's so neat. If you've got a cat, do this sometime. When they're walking around or whatever, get their attention and then hold out your hand forming a fist toward the cat's head. And they'll headbutt your hand. To cats, this is how their greet. & if you think this information is not useful, just think if you're head to head with a mountain lion or some shit, just get on all fours and headbutt that fucker. Let them know what's up.
Lol its also a sign of taking property, but they usually slam into things with the side of their body if they consider it "theirs" my gf's cat body slams my every time i walk in, then when i sit, it comes and head bumbs high fives me...so awesome
Not my cat. She is vicious ever since I stepped on her when she was a kitten. If you get within 3 feet of her she will come at you and claw your arm and work her way up to your face. Its best not to make eye contact with her or she will hiss at you and scare you.
Cats have scent glands on their face that they use to mark territory. So, your cat is literally labeling you, his/her property.
This is actually how you should pet cats. Can't tell you how many friends of mine call my best friend's cat an asshole because she "hates" people. In reality, they're lunging their hands toward the cat to pet it and freaking it out. Give them 2 seconds to sniff&rub and they're your best friend. The cat loves me. Or maybe it's just me. I AM me, after all.
THATS what it is, i was trying to say this and i couldnt remember why they rub but i knew it took the form of owner ship.... lions rub their faces all over their prey lol.... saw it on animal P once.... hahahahahahaa
