OP: would you drink/swim in your bong water? probably not, and if you feel differently than my statement, pics or it didn't happen.

I think it would be perfectly acceptable to keep a fish in a bong that has never been used as long as you don't plan to use it while the fish is residing inside. It would make for a pretty sweet fish bowl, but there are some extra design/practicality issues that will need to be overcome.

 

as a person who has been keeping a saltwater reef tank running for over a year now, i guarantee you if you put the fish in the water it will die for a multitude of reasons and wouldnt last a week.

and just because it is a fish doesnt mean its life is of no value. Fish might not be on the same level as dogs but i have definitely seen some cost as much as a dog ($2500) so think before you proclaim all fish are not animals and basically worthless.

I am responding here because I want to share with you my fish/bong experience. A good friend of mine had a BETA fish living in the bottom of his bong for around four months. The fish went through smoke sessions about once daily at the most. Before and after every session my friend would clean and purify the water. I have personally hit the bong with the fish in the bottom and had never noticed the fish to be suffering in anyway. Unfortunately the fish did die eventually after four months. Now I am unsure as to if the weed smoke affected the fish in the way that caused his demise, or if the fish died of natural causes (i.e. normal fish shit.)
