  1. We got some mid seeds that we have been trying to grow...now we are very novice and looked for the cheapest way to grow. We have a small litter box to plant things in. When they get about an inch tall, they fall over...There are usually about 3 small leaves poking out. Should we transplant the plant at this time? it usually takes about 3 weeks to get this far. The soil we are using is some Miracle Gro from WalMart and we have a light that has a "GrowLite" in it. It's a blueish bulb, that's made for growing plants. We put a fan and a heater in the room to keep the air flowing and the heat higher than normal so it doesn't get too cold. I live in the South, it gets as low as 38F here. so what could be causeing the plants to die...My friend thinks the light is too far away from the plant (It's about 7-10 inches from the soil, but I think it's because we need to transplant it.) The plants themselves are about 1-1.25 inches tall. Any help would be greatly appreciated. WG

  2. if your using fluros, then you can have them approx 1-3" away from the plant.......read the guide under this post, and then read it again, it'll teach you to grow from start to finish........good luck......Peace out........Sid
