It's my first grow. The smaller ones are "unknown strain and genetics" seeds that I started outside and had a plethora of issues causing some stunted growth and I lost some growth to bugs but they seem to be recovering. The others are clones from the local dispensary, one is golden goat and the other is sour joker. I just did some LST on the bushier plants. I am using 3 gallon fabric pots. I set out buckets of tap water for 24(+)hrs for the chlorine to evaporate then I mix in the recommended (on the bottle) amount of floratrio+rapidstart+CalMag. I am watering daily will smaller amounts. Any thorough or backed advice is welcome!
My guess is you have poor soil, seems like acidity may be your issue, it’s worth looking into it, that is going to effect the nutrient intake of those plants. Other than that water retention looks a little rough, is that peat moss?
when you say "smaller amounts" could you please elaborate more like how much are putting in the medium it looks like your growing in coco + perlite
Apologies, it was late and I meant to include more. 40"x40"x80", 600w (mh for veg) hps air cooled light, 440 cfm 6" inline fan with carbon filter. Growing in flushed coco coir with ~25% coarse perlite. I usually fill up a 2 gallon measuring bucket a little above the 2 gal mark, let it sit for 24h(getting an RO filter today) then add 2 tsp ea. of the flora trio, 4ml calmag, 2ml rapidstart. Ph to 5.6-6.0. I fill up a watering can with a gallon of the mix and have about a quart or a few pints left over in the watering can each day after watering all 6. I have 2 - 6" fans circulating air. I am running 24/0 for this veg cycle, will do 20/4 next grow and maybe 18/6 after that to see. I am also getting some Mills Basic A and B. Do you think it would be worth it or harmful to switch to the mills nutes or should I stay with the Gen Hydro floratrio for this grow? Thanks for the help everyone, Brew
this when a flush is really helpfull if your switching nutrients lines its a good idea to flush the remaining nutes out and start with the mills thats what i would do but im extremely picky lol
Awesome advice, didn't even think of flushing before switching. My leaves are/were a little yellow in between the veins and on new growth so I figured I had a Nitrogen or magnesium deficiency. I added a little epsom salt to a few waters and a lot of the color has returned and I didn't do anything to correct nitrogen because I didn't have anything I'm going to switch the nutes before I do more correction on any of that as it might, even if unlikely, fix the issue. So I'll get the nutes and RO filter today, give them a decent flush with PH'd RO water, then hit em with a good watering with nutes and let them be for a few days. Thanks for the advice!
