  2. Get it out of that clear container. Roots do not like to be exposed to any light. Try a Solo cup and then transplant into fabric pots.

  3. You probably shouldn’t be giving any nutrients at this stage. What soil are you using? Are there any nutrients in the soil at all?

just the soil from jiffy pallet, the rest is perlite and vermiculite 70/30 ratio

  5. You dont have a plant. You have a seedling.
    Seedlings don't need any fertilizer.
    Probably watering too much too.
Clear containers are not good for roots although your seedling has a way to go before that is an issue.

  6. Not even for a predominantly perlite/vermiculite medium? Just straight ph'd water?

  7. The seedling lives off the nutrients stored in its cotyledones. It won't need any outside nutrients until it develops a couple sets of true leaves and the cotyledones start to shrink. At this point the plant has developed enough roots to take a weak nutrient solution.

  9. No nutes for about 2 weeks and change the pot in about 7-10 days b-4 the roots start to get bothered by light & long enough to have a root setup that you can even transplant.. or it will just probably die if it has nothing growing yet..

    Hope this helped!!

  10. You're getting great advice if you were growing in soil. Hempy is hydroponics and like all hydroponics, food should be available from day one. Soil contains nutrients which is why food is not required for a few weeks. You wouldn't do a DWC grow with plain water. If you follow Hempy's original instructions, he suggests feeding everyday until the roots hit the bottom reservoir - then every other day. You can't overwater a Hempy.

These plants are 28 days old in Hempy buckets and fed everyday from sprout.

  11. Oh crap you are right! I totally glossed over the word "hempy" in the OP's first post. My baaaaaad

  12. Hey Mick, is it just as important for there to be cal Mag in the water for hydro at a minimum dosage? That's all I give to mine in the beginning few weeks due to my RO system.

  13. I use tap water which contains enough calcium and magnesium in it so cal/mag isn't necessary. If I used r/o water I would supplement with cal/mag.
