First time Post... Grey edges & underwatering of autos

Discussion in 'Sick Plants and Problems' started by Dreadak, Jul 21, 2020.

  1. Hey everyone first time posting here apologies for the long right up. I'm looking for some advice as I'm having a few problems. I've got 3 autos 2 are blueberry og ghost kush 1 purple haze. There in a 800x800x1600 tent with a 360w LED above.
    18 on 6 off.

Almost 6 weeks in now. Last Saturday my light went pop and it was about 40 hours until a replacement went in(previous light was 240w upgraded to 360w). I recently saw all the leafs on all 3 from top to bottom were drooping and felt crispy. I had only been watering about 3L each per week. They seem to be perking up a little now but this morning I noticed some grey edges to the leafs. Really confused what it might be??
I'm waiting on a blue lab pH pen to arrive before I give anymore nutrients (it's been 1.5 weeks since last nutrients which was 3ml per litre of both coco base a&b {cx horticulture) - using cheap pH test dropper bottle to get 6.5
I've also added 1 ml per litre of cx regen a root when watering this week.
Temps are around 25 Celsius 40% to 45% humidity lights on
Light off no lower than 15 degrees Celsius.

On a side note any recommendations for something that will log temperatures so I can check what happened over night?

Thanks for any feedback you might have.

  2. Sounds like your in coco? But your ph range is for soil. Can’t let coco dry. Can’t go so long without nutrients. Your light looks close plus 45% humidity could be cause of crispy leaves..
Looks like the start of flower too? Such a bad time to hold back on feeding.

  3. Thanks for the feedback I'm in Canna terra professional.. What ph would you recommend? The manufacturer sheet for the light says to hang 30cm from canopy but the place of purchase recommends 15cm 360w Model X Full Spectrum LED Grow Light
I plan to feed again In 2 or 3 days once I have the pH pen and can be sure of pH. I will use cx coco base a&b as well as cx mighty bloom and head masta.
With some more research I think I could be seeing phosphorus deficiency?

  4. I'm old fashioned, soil for me so I use dirt and perlite. To me it looks like not enough water. I have mine in 3gal pots and give them bout 1/2 to 3/4 gallon water every 2days , nutes go in every other water, so at least once every 4 days they get a drink and food. Works out for me ok. Good luck

  5. ok so you are in soil but your using hydro nutes, coco a&b... don’t know your other nutes :/

soils good with the correct nutes ph wouldn’t of been such a problem. 6.5 for soil. But I really don’t know about your coco nutes in soil..

it’s defiantly under watered and underfed. Your in flower the colour won’t be coming back. And so early it will drastically affect your yields.

your sure it’s in cm and not inch. that light has zero Info, it doesn’t even have a name. It’s so expensive. I had a quick look at that shop and if I was you I would never order from them again. $400 for a 600ballast and hps I see Also. The most expensive shop ever!!!

    www.Growweedeasy.com read it all. GL

  6. "This A&B formula has proved very popular among commercial growers worldwide for the last 20 years, and it can be used in any type of media, including hydroponic and soil." I've looked into using coco base a&b after you commented and have been assured its allgood to use in soil. I wish we had more options for better prices here in nz but sadly those prices seem pretty standard down here.
Thanks for your feedback on the problems I'm having.. Hopefully they will at least survive

  7. without looking any further than these pics I'm going to guess that it's over watering. Either that or it's the way your plant grew during constant underwatering issues because the leaves themselves look fully hydrated as evidence by the wripples and wrinkling in the leaves would suggest. I'm scared to look at the rest of the posts now. :vaping:

  9. cool then water and feed properly before anymore loses colour. That image the leaf looks abit purple Like from cold..

  10. Seems like my lowest temp over night is 16 degrees Celsius.. Too cold? Will get a heater in there tonight

  11. Great! Thanks for that info I will adjust the height now. That's a big difference to what they recommend. Any reason that could be?
