This is my first time growing hydroponically but been growing for many of years. I'm growing some seeds i crossed a couple years ago power Cush/train wreak great mix, hydro is the way to go so far no problems with anything plants look amazing. they are in their second week of flowering running them at 700 ppm /5.8 ph using ( Blue lab) ph pen an a Blue lab pph meter. Made my own system with 4"pvc tubing 3" pots. The nutes im using is dyna gro which i hear isnt the best but everyone has their own opinion. Gonna post pics of the rest of this grow an start right from the begaining with my clone. Hope i will have some followers thanks
I'm assuming it's NFT going by how you described it. NFT seems to be a dieing art. I have no idea why. it's a good system, but everyone is all DWC now. simplicity I guess. I'm looking forward to your photos
Yo Dr. Greentip! Sounds like a medical issue! :-/ Sounds like a cool grow. I'm not sure who told you that Dyna-gro nutrients aren't that good, but they obviously haven't tried them. I think they are excellent. Dyna-Gro is on my short list of all time best nutrients, because it's a true all in one nutrient, and very reasonably priced. If you use them in coco, you'd need to supplement a little calcium, but that isn't the case in your system. Keep up the good job, let's see some pics!
I think i jinx myself by saying i had no problems four tops got burnt due to being to close to the light the 1000 watter are known for that an i should of known better cuz its not my first time using it , it shouldn't hurt them too bad got the tips of the leafs abit. Here are afew pics i took with my tablet if they don't come out that well after posting anyways here they are.
Got a question why are my plant using a ton more water an nutes since i switched over to flowering? Does it mean i need to bump up the ppms with the next water change? Gotta take some new ones sux cuz i need to take the pics when the light is off the light is too bright.
Look at GoldGrower's link in his signature. It explains this in detail. http://forum.grasscity.com/hydroponic-growing/1198022-how-determine-what-your-plants-preferred-nutrient-strength.html
