First time growing: Something went bad!

Discussion in 'First Time Marijuana Growers' started by j_dizzy474, Mar 15, 2016.

  1. Hey everyone this is my first time growing I invested a quite a bit in my equipment. I am running these specs:
    Virtual sun 600w
    2 can fans inline 240w
    Fox farm ocean forest
    Fox farm nutrient trio
Ph testers and ph up and down

my plants have yellow spots aka rust spots on them and they are drooping. I transplanted 2 weeks ago and i feel the soil they were transfered in have a different ph with the soil the new 5 gallon pot had in it.

everytime i take ph level it changes so i cant ever help fix the matter.
what should i do to fix this problem.

  2. Switch to a different soil and nutrient line, fox farm is crap and makes for ugly plants.

And you pH will change every watering, if the pH of your soil is 6.2 and you add 8.5pH tap water it will jump up to like 7. Take about one ounce of loose soil from your pots and 1 oz of 7.0pH water and mix them up for a minute, test with probe if you have one or strain out the dirt and test with colour changing solution. You want to be around 6.2-6.5, so if it tests at 5.0 give it a 7.0 feeding and check in 2 days to see where its at, if the next time it tests at 6.0 then you would give it a 6.5 feeding, and the time after you could got to 6.2 and keep it there the whole grow.
