First time growing outside. Is it too late to put them out now?

I live in Southern California and I’ve got an extra clone that I’d like to grow outside. Is it too late for me to put it outside now? Well in 2 weeks, I wanted to veg it out a bit more.
Also, if I do move it outside, do I need to scale down my lighting or can I just put it out there? It seems like I’d have to make some kind of adjustment. Right now my light goes on at 6:30pm and shuts off at 12:30pm the next day.
