This is my first time growing I having a good functioning grow room about 8x10 and my light is 400w but my humidity level I'm going for is 55 but is usually around 37-40 and my temp never goes past 22 how do I raise my humidity to what I want it to be and keep it there ?

need more info.. 'totally depends on the type of room you have set up. Are you running exhaust fans? How many plants do you have? What is the avg humidity of the air pulled in by your fans? If your plants are growing well and look healthy, I would say not to over-think it and keep it rolling.
theres humidifiers now the you can set to the humidity level that you want or if you got the money you can look in to controllers that will work with anything

If your plants are growing well and look healthy, I would say not to over-think it and keep it rolling.[/quote] I have a 8x10 room totally sealed made from Polly and stapled to my wood frame in my basement the climate down there is dryer n cooler like a regular basement I have a 6'fan suckin air in and another one 6'to blow air out into exhaust connection for my dryer blows out fine I have 16 plants and the average humidity is usually 40 now ATM it's 37 I want it to be at 55

Umm 22 I think is in a pretty perfect range as well.Between 70-80 degrees is what you want,and 22c is 71f. And when your lights are off to drop 10 degrees or so would be great as well.
