Hey can anyone give a newbie some help. So I'll explain my situation. I planted a baggy seed at the start of the summer. It sprouted etc etc it was growing outside at the Start while the weather was good, mostly 4/5 of the.time it was inside the hoise as the weather became crap. It was nearly always an inside plant. I've been doing it all organic no liquid nuuts except for two small doses at the very beginning because I panicked about an issue which later got corrected by adding dolomite lime. I've been getting help from a guy on here but for the past three weeks he's dissappeared. So to continue I got a kit about three weeks ago and I brought her up into it. It's been growing alot and now it's flowering. After a few days in the tent (600W HPS) I noticed some stems on some leafs turning purple. At first I thought it was a temp issue or that it might have been shocked from the lights. I've recently got a ph soil tester the one that actually goes into the soil, so I tested it and it's reading low like 5-6ph. I've added more lime in yesterday and gave it two waterings. So my question is was that correct thing to do? Any help is appreciated
Thanks for the reply I just put it into some multi purpose compost. Never thought it would get so far. And I haven't a ph pen for water upto this point she's mostly been okay so I presummed the water was okay. I'm trying to upload a picture but the files to large. Also Someone told me to put some of the compost into a bottle with some water and later water the plant with it. I read somewhere on the Internet that maybe that could of lowered the pH. Any truth in that? I watered it maybe three times like that over 3 weeks?
If unsure, ask first. It should help if ph is too low. But did you calibrate your meter prior to testing? What is the ph of the water going in and the runoff? As far as the purpling goes, any stress can cause it. Cold, heat, humidity, ph issues or any other factor. But a magnesium deficiency can cause pulling too. Magnesium is absorbed by the plant with ph range of 6-7 .
Get her ph to 6 3 to 6.8. Than u can feed her bloom nutes pk boosters molasses etc. Dont feed until Sent from my SM-G935T using Tapatalk
As After the Shot said: See the raised ridges on your leaves..Heat and maybe light stress (canoeing too)..(I blew it up w/ Photoshop) groweedeasy.com is a great site to learn on..
Could that have been caused by bringing her in to the tent with a real light? The temp during the day is usually 25-28 the highest I've seen it was 30. Humidity usually between 40-60 but mostly between 40-53. At night 18-19 ish humidity 50. I check on it every hour or two but what do you recommend I do? The light is also 43cm away
Hey thanks for writing. I wrote a post before at the very beginning and only one guy wrote bk which I was in contact with upto now so I just thought people wouldn't be bothered haha but now I'm desperate so I thought f it. No I didn't calibrate it, sounds stupid that I didn't but j assumed it was reasy to go so that's shit....I also don't have a ph pen to check the water lol like I wrote before above I assumed the water was fine as it's drinking water I live in Ireland and the waters alright here but apart from that I assumed it was alright because upto this point I only had one real issue which when I added lime went away for sometime. I also thought about mag so I went and bought Epsom salt the other day. I added a bit of that aswell. I'm panicky haha which is stupid in hindsight.
IDK, but those are my thoughts.. Plants don't have wheels..LOL, but I move mine if the weather outdoors is terrible.. With that said..still looks like light and heat stress.. I would read a bunch, study a bunch, and keep it simple..Why would you put compost in a bottle of water and soil drench? Sounds like a bad way to top dress.. groweedeasy.com you will learn and it will not be so confusing. You must post everything about your grow to get help here: ie: Lighting, medium, watering PH, RH, temps (high and low), and everything you can think of to get help. READ, STUDY, READ..When you think you know..READ MORE!!
NO..keep it VERY simple and find out what's happening..Don't be impatient and over correct either. READ growweedeasy.com (I will not suggest it again) If you do't learn, you can't ask proper questions imo..
