Hello Everyone, Im new to this forum so please be kind! Its my first time growing ever. I have been growing 1 plant and its 35 days old. Im having a problem and have tried to fix it without any succes. My plant is drooping and i really dont know why. People will say over-watered and i dont think so. so lets start off with how i tried to fix the problem. After day 28 i noticed that the plant is drooping allot and i think that was because i gave it water 2 times that day. 1 time fresh water and 1 time fresh water mixed with nutrients. The nutrient i gave it, is Orkidé-nutrient with 5% Nitrogen, 5% Fosfor, 5% Kalium. The plant is only in vegetation-stage. So 2-3 Days of waiting for the plant to suck it all in, i noticed it started drooping again. This is Day 31 and i immediatly went to the store and bought a bigger pot. what i did was to transplant it to the bigger pot, and gave it some fresh water. The plant went in to a shock, but a few days later recovered. Now its day 35 and i have only given it fresh water 2 days back and now its drooping again and its only the highest leaves (the leaves on the top) who's drooping. The soil is just a lil bit moist still and i have'nt given it water for 2 days. What should i do? My plant looks really healthy, but yet still drooping for some reason:/ Here are some pics! (PS The photo of it stretched and beautiful is before i gave it water and water mixed with nutrients that evilday)
Wait until your soil is bone dry. Check by sticking your finger in the soil 1st knuckle deep. You should feel no moisture.its just a bit of overwatering.
Ill wait and see how it goes, and return with info. But should i give that nutrient im giving it or should i skip it completly? Thanks for the answers allot, appreciate it!
Start nutes at 1/4 strength and feed every other watering. You should be taking 2-3 days to be ready to water unless you're in fabric pots. After 2 feedings step up to 1/2 strength. Then see how she looks. If she's happy keep her at 1/2. More nutes doesn't mean more growth. You can totally stunt them.
Okey, im hesitating on giving it nutes, ill just skip it and give it some fresh water every watering wich is every 3-4 days. i did as you told me and waited untill the soil was bone dry. and gave her some water today. And now im starting to piss off. She went back to drooping again!! This is how she looked when the soil was dry and the other picture is a couple of hours after she got some fresh water. Please explain what im doing wrong here. Becuase im tired of seeing her drooping every time i water it wich leads to her growth rate decreasing... I also noticed that she is drooping on a different way this time. the leaves are bending/folding in, just like a handknuckle. i really need to solve this problem so i wont see her drooping anymore, i have noticed that she grows very slowly the last 2-3 days, she is almost looking the same as the first pictures of this thread...
what are you using for lighting? just that window? Sent from my SM-G950F using Grasscity Forum mobile app
look like you got no airation in your soil like perlight so when you water she becomes starved of o2 to her roots. Sent from my SM-G950F using Grasscity Forum mobile app
Yeah im just using the light from the sun, im not the richest in the world to be honest:/ ohh okey, thats something new for me. what can i do to fix that? Is there anything i need to buy? if so, where can i buy it? im very new to this, but learning something new thanks to this forum! Im having one more concerne. Because im using the light from the sun, here its summer now so she gets 18/6 of light from the sun, when the sun is up and the sky is "cloudfree" she gets direct sunlight, at night she stands behind my window, will this cause any problems when the sun give her the correct amount of light for flowering in the future? or should i be considering something else? im not in a rush of smoking her, i can give her all the time she needs and more if so. Im just striving for a succéssed/completed plant! Thanks allot for your reply, well appreciated!
This is how she looks right now, what im noticing is that (the very top leaves) seems to be doing great. They are stretched and have no signs of drooping at all!
unless your gonna repot her into a bigger pot in the future not alot you have do ypur gonna have to be good on the waterong tbh shes doing good next to the window she looks really healthy just this drooping. and od call the fact thefe no perlight in the soil Sent from my SM-G950F using Grasscity Forum mobile app
i have already changed the pot on her once. From a very small one to this one. I got some good news tho, i woke up in the morning with the window open just a little tiny bit so she could get some fresh air throughout the night. This is how she looked this morning ! Thank you Loki! greatly appreciated!
looks lush mate must get some good sun tho how long till your 12/12 cause she could get big. or she going outside for flower Sent from my SM-G950F using Grasscity Forum mobile app
This is how it looked when she got direct sunlight today, i have to be very good at rotating her so she dont get tilted to one side! So now she have rested and sucked in all sunlight what im noticing now is that she is drooping again. Why is that? i have not given her any water at all. and the soil is dry but just a little tiny bit moist (very little) could it be that she is drooping from the strong sunlight? i have no clue, seems like she is drooping for different reasons every time! Thanks again!
ahh it cause shes not getting much light. you try holding ya arms up all day lol my plants droop when it gdts dark untill lights been on a while the there like give me all tge light lol you could give her a light water see if she oerks but she may be resting.
