First time grower need help much appreciated

  1. Hey guys first time grower here. I’m a veteran looking to grow my own medical marijuana my pension doesn’t pay much and the cost of marijuana is fairly high in my city. I’m considering planting some plants in my backyard but would like some advice before doing so I have watched countless videos but would appreciate some advice along the way thank you for your time.

  2. My advice is get the best growing soil you can!
Start them off in small containers and transplant so that you dont over water the seedlings.
Dont over fertilize them especially when they are young.
I would suggest either fabric pots or in the ground because outdoor growing can get root bound fast in plastic pots.
Do a lot of reading and ask lots of questions.

  3. No more watching countless videos, just do it. Depending on your location it's getting late in the season for new plants. You'll learn as you go and if you've ever grown a tomato you can grow a bud. Start with a seed and some decent soil. If you have a problem you can't find an answer for you can post it in this thread. Now go do it

  4. Starting with good genetics can make a real difference, get your seeds from a reputable breeder if you can! There are lots of great sites out there that have lot available.

Even if your first grow doesn't turn out as well as it could have, you will surely yeild enough to pay off the seeds and whatever other supplies for a starter grow. The satisfaction of growing your own and knowing exactly where it came from is awesome

  5. A little late for outside! Won't get much time to veg. U would need some kinda a light to keep them from flowering soon

  6. If your in a legal state you might try locating a few clones. They would only get a little bigger before starting to flower but you will get something along with the huge pleasure of growing your own.

  7. If you're someplace with mild fall / winter there is time for planting.
Not if he wants trees, but enough time for some good bushes.
