Hi all, I'm new to this forum, found it by searching google . I recently came into possession of about 80 seeds from a bag of shake my dealer had thrown my bag of pot into. I decided that since I do like my pot and it can be expensive I'd try growing some outdoor plants. I have too many neighbors and not enough privacy or guts to grow them in my backyard so I plan on growing in some covert areas around me. Being that I've never actually grown before, I don't know much about anything. I've dome preliminary research here and there but haven't found anything to answer my specific questions. For starters, the seeds. Of the 80 seeds I'd say 5 - 10% are really really small probably a half centimeter in diameter. Im guessing these are too small and can be chucked? The rest are probably double that size, roundish-oval shaped. Some are really large and stand out. The colours are anywhere from a black/brown colour to a green colour, some are still in the leafy outer shell. Which ones would be viable for planting? I live in southern Ontario, Canada, and Im not sure what season to plant in or how far in advance/how to germinate for planting? I'm also unsure what sorts of areas are good for planting (both in terms of remaining hidden and also yielding good plants.) The weed I got the seeds with wasn't great, but I've heard growing method can determine quality to a great extent. What are some good steps to increase the potency of the plants? I'm also unsure how long a plant should take to grow and how many seeds I should plant and how many I should expect to mature. If it all went well, I'd like to secure enough for myself and the friend who I share my volcano vaporizer with for the entire winter and until the next crop. Between us we usually go through roughly an ounce a week meaning 52 ounces a year (wow). Any help anyone could offer would be greatly appreciated whether it's in the form of advice or links to guides that might answer some questions. Thanks a bunch! Alistriwen
the brown ones are good. the dark green can be used most of the time but if they are light green/white they are no good. the pitch black ones arent all that good either they can be thrown out. they best are biggish and are brown with black "tiger stripes". happy growing i just chopped and am drying a small delicous smelling plant from my second succesful grow! got one more that needs about a week left.
