Update on the grow cabinet, I bought a filter for a carbureted engine that had the same opening size I cut for the fan and put it on the opening and sealed with weather stripping I'm getting better air flow this way, also got a better fan. U could of bought a grow tent for that price much more room and height unless u ar on limited space . Also a better light u should check out amazon for both i got a 400 watt mh/hps off amazon for $190 free shipping im only growing in a 3x4 space but check these babys out also if your soil has nutrients in it allready u dont need to add any for at least a month heres my girls starting week 6 of flower 3 plants in a 3x4 space
Those look great! Well I wanted something lockable so that was a big factor. How tall is your tent?? And as far as lights I wanted to save on electricity, but I do agree the mh/hps are the way to go but I'm planning to get a UV-B bulb to add to increase the THC potency.
I dont use a tent yet im in the process of saving for one so i have a veg and a flower room. So when ones done flowering i can throw the ones that r in veg into flower right away that way ill have a crop every 3 months. I just used a big armoir and made it one wall stapled poly stuff to it for the white reflective material and i use the other 2 white walls and i put a piece of plywood across the top n painted it white but its 7 ft high im going to put a few cfl flower bulbs in as well in between the plants
Or i might just buy some 2x4s and plywood and build a closet alot cheaper than paying for a tent. Put it on wheels incase it has to be moved easily
So 1/19/18 i mixed 2 tsp bio thrive grow and 1 tsp bio root into 1 gallon of water. I gave plants A and B 2 quarts of this mixture each.
It' so weird how much faster A is growing than B I'm really hoping A isn't a male since males will grow faster than females.....
I'm wanting to have 2 cabinets going too for the same reason. Putting it on wheels is a good idea too! I am wanting to paint this cabinet white after this grow because that will free up a lot of space that the boards I have up right now for whiteness.
Hey just wanted to say I think you're doing a great job, especially for a first grow! My grow is a week or two ahead of yours, but I think your plants looks better lol. This is my first grow that's actually working out so far, I had two failed attempts in late November/early December. But boy is it a fun hobby, love how much there is to learn. Best of luck!
