Hey guys, I've been doing a lot of research on growing and decided its about time I take a shot at it. This section inspired me to make a PC grow box out of my old comp so I decided to share with you guys my first grow experience. Using seeds from my last batch of no name, was a light blue color with brownish red hairs on it. My setup is a 20x18x8 box and I used Aluminum foil tape to line the inside. Couldn't get the metal box out so I lost some space but I'll work around it. I have a 4x2 power strip at the top with 2 Y adapters and 4 23W daylight cfls. 1 dual bearing PC fan for outake at the top and an open hole at the bottom for intake since its in the basement and its freezing down there. My plants are like an inch tall and just sprouted yesterday, but they look beautiful. im so excited! haha Ill put the pictures of my setup and plants tomorrow when I find the USB adapter for my camera. Definitely gonna need some help on this one guys, looking forward to discussing my grow wiith all of you.
haha, if you simply keep the computer power supply (the big metal box in the top-back of the case) they should plug right in... but you could also use a dc wall charger (like 9v - 12v) and cut the end off it. the wire with a stripe going down it is the positive, the other side is ground. simply split the wire, strip the ends, do the same on the fan wires and connect red to power and black to ground. you could also install a switch between them if desired. be sure to properly wrap it all up with electrical tape, or preferably, use twist caps
What sleeve said. I've got my fan wired into an old cell phone charger. Just snipped the adapter and spliced the wires to the fan till it turned on. Was a little tedious but I was a scrub at it, now im SKEELT I cant find the usb adapter to my camera so I gotta find another way to upload these pics. Accidentally dropped one of my babies today, felt like I kicked a foetus in the head, I almost cried. She looks to be doin good though, hopefuly I can get the pics up tomorrow
if ur gunna do it y do something small like a pc try something bigger. always grow more than one. whats the chance the one u grow is gunna end up being female or survive the early stages of veging. or maybe get sick or acquire sum type of lil pest fuck spider mites ass holes i hatge em but ya make sure u got enuff room for sufficient ammount of light can regulate temps and the plant or plants arnt gunna be toutching the lights. intrested but where ur pics at bigtime
