Yeah cut the tips of those leaves so they don’t have to process so much light. Less overal stress. Lighting can be 18/6 , 20/4, 24/0 , your call my man. Everyone has their own opinion on that.

Yes it could be a major problem. You want them packed in nice and tight and NOT loose. Risk of air is bad news bears
