First time buying, looking for some help

1. buy a cheap small gram scale if you plan on purchasing multiple times - it may pay for itself quickly depending on how big of an asshole your dealer is, and is the best/only way to make sure you're not getting ripped off.

2. if the dealer is legit like you say he should have dank. it should be strong smelling - some are lighter colored and look "frostier" and others are a little darker green, and sometimes the nugs are fluffier or denser (this is why you need a scale, hard to eyeball because they're all different densities), but it should be pungent and tasty when you smoke it, and you should get very high very quickly. if he will let you or maybe after you buy, break the buds up and smell them and use a light to look at the crystals, and smoke a little. try not to be too impressed with how sexy (or lame) it may look, just light it up, it's the best way to know. most strain names are made up or they slap on an already popular one, hard to find anything legit so don't even bother/care.
