First solo grow ... (~150 watts CFL+150 HPS, Organic) Blackjack bagseeds

  1. I know!  That purple plant is really taking off.  Was such a surprise to have a purple plant, I might have to reveg these plants to save the genetics. (after harvest)  For a couple of bagseeds they appear to be strong seeds, and I dont know if I got lucky or what.
The other plant (non purple) is starting to take off last few days.  Its a little behind.

Added another 2700K CFL (23 watt) to light up the back side of a few branches, raised a few other CFLs up,  so my light is pretty well focused to my main colas, not saying I didnt notice the bottoms growing well by the CFLs.  Because of the mess and pain in the ass to move my plants, I figure I will just move lights around every now and then.
I thought this bud looked shiny,  wish I had a better camera. tmp_IMAG1150-31634876.jpg

A little over 4 weeks into flower. Have an issue with my two largest plants, im thinking their rootbound because they are several times the size of their pots and have leaves randomly yellowing amd a lack of vigor.

This is the smallest plant, planted later. It was transplanted right before flowering, and still has all white hairs and no yellowing leaves.

All my plants show signs of some kind of burn, as my tips are burnt.

As you can see their still doing well, I got a jewelry scope so I can pay attention to my tricomes. Which are all clear. I should have 4-8 weeks to go.

    And the buds today.

I ran into some issues without really knowing what the cause was. I suspected rootbound amd salt build up. I flushed my soil out pretty good a few weeks back and now It shows. Pretty sure my soil is taxed out. I havent fed the plants anything, so I top dressed with a little compost and made a kelp and chicken manure tea via jar shuffling. They seem a little happier since the pics here, at least they havent seemed to yellow amymore since I fed them gently. The 11 of this month will be six weeks of 12/12. I have peaked at my tichs and they seem miky on the buds. So lets hope they keep it up. Waiting for amber color.

You can see Its just three plants. The smallest in the back of the pack is separated by its nice bud and green leaves. The difference with this plant was it was transplanted right before flowering switch into new soil. Wish they all were doing so nice, considering they are the big ones.

    Any comments would be appreciated.

The light came on tonight and wow, I noticed a spurt in growth, white hairs starting to pop out all over again, then definitely responded well to some food. I also have decided to keeo my soil moist for at least a week, before I let it start to dry out. I was watering every two or three days. Either way I im happy. Im also getting some pretty nice little foxtails on a few on my buds.

The 11th of April (This month) will be week six. I really want to go as long as possible, im so into watching them get bigger Im not even thinking about harvest yet, though I am watching my resin develop. I swear their all cloudy with an occasional amber and what looks like purple tichs. Maybe I shoukd attempt a macro shot.

  7. I should put closure to this. Everything was smooth, buds stayed about the same as pictures above, i dont have the recent ones with me,
But I can say I pulled about 4 oz give or take, 5 mason jars of loosly packed buds. No scale.
The green plant was the best in quality, small purple in the very back was next, buds were dense. The large purple was loose. That plants dead. I found some male flowers during manacure on it also. I have the green and purple plant still, as reveggs. The overall quality of the smoke was good, most would be happy to pay for it. tmp_IMAG1388321169672.jpg Green plant, outside in AK several weeks after harvest, and not within this week.

This is whats up now, 2 plants in a single 35-40 gallon drum. Same lights. My own, natrally created spruce forest soil. (Leaves taste like pine!) First week of flower, after a ten day counting period. So 17 days of 12/12. Thanks for watching.
