  1. Hello GC!

Here i go with my first try
    this is my set up

1 600W MH (gonna swtich for a HPS for flowering) - no cool reflector, but hopefully soon
Water ph 6.4 only adding Superthrive to it for now
    2 fans
    Homemade CO2 (sugar and yeast)
    Dimensions: 4 x 4x6' 7'' height
Temps varying from 78-85. If it ever goes higher than 85 i just raise the light a bit or put AC colder

    Here we go:

5 White girls whose husband died :B
Today completes 7 days (for the tallest 3...6 days for the little ones)

    Other comments:

I know two of them are slightly burned and some a very tall. The reason why is because at first I had the lights hanging very high. When i noticed it was too high i was lowering lowering until one day i woke up and two were a bit toasted. This is my first time ever using a MH bulb and now i understand why people say they are vicious and hot. Well either way, i learner my mistake and now im trying a few different heights in order to find a good one.

    Questions:

    LST or Topping/Trimming?
I know this is a question made by most people, but from what i researched I dont like the topping or trimming options very much because the way I see it is that I will be cutting a leaf that could potentionally be producing energy for my plant. I understand the benefits can be good but so are the ones I've read from LSTing, so I am pretty much decided to LST.
But so if I start training them early will the other branches simply start growing thinking that it is the top? I dont have to top or trim it at all? And how early should i start the training? 4th fan leaf? Im just afraid of starting it now because they are so thin and seem like would break easily but I pretend to until the end of the week

How should my pots be for flowering and when should I transfer them?
I am using 1 gallon pots right now but I also have about 5 feet of height to work with so how big of pots should I be looking for my flowering stage?

    Humidity:

I have a humidifier but I am having trouble closing the tent for now because of the heat since I dont have a cool tube and my exhaust is almost useless if it turn it on right now, but I have a plan for all that. The problem is that it will take me about a week so i can start closing the tent and turn the humidifier on. Right now the humidity is on the 20%s only and that will probably be what it is staying on until i am able to close the tent. Until then what are my risks for having such low humidity? Are there any cheap techniques to raise humidity quick? If i turn on the humidifier right now all the humidity just escapes the tent and it wont go much above the 20s

Sorry I wrote so much I just felt like I needed to put all my concerns out there in the hope that some kind experienced minds will come here give me their insight

    Hope to Hear comments

    Peace :smoke:

  2. Anybody?
Could you at least look at the pictures and tell me if they look healthy?
I really would like some opinion :///

  3. Looks good man keep those pics coming. I wanna watch these things turn into a room full of dank.

  4. thanks man i hope I can fill that room too!!! That's why im hoping to start LSTing them soon to use as much space as possible(without taking out the air flow)

I'll wait a few days and post a new one soon

  5. Oh yeah looking good.

  6. You know that the further the light is, it loses lumens exponentially. Like let's say it's 50000 lumens at a foot, then you move it 2 feet away, it doesn't go to 25000 lumens, but even less than that.

If I were to make a single suggestion, it'd be to get a coolable reflector. Your temps in the room are already ok, but that light is a long way off man. If you could get it within a foot or so of those plants and maintain those temps by cooling the reflector, you'd be seeing alot more growth alot faster.

  7. Ohh thanks mrgoodsmoke! I knew the cool reflector would be very beneficial, but I hadn't thought about the fact that I am loosing lumens by putting it farther! I will look into a cool reflector soon and I will get back with the results. I also have an exhaust with air duct so that should be easy!

    Thanks again man!

  8. I originally had that same reflector that you have there, and during winter, in my old uninsulated apartment it was just fine. Then when summer came, it was running like 100+ degrees in the tent, (but my tent is also a bit smaller). Got just a cooltube and moved my socket onto it and bam it was all good. I'll keep checking in man. I love watching plants grow.
