Hello, so I germinated this PK seed to try growing for the first time. I modified an old PC case and made it so I can grow a plant or 2. This is my first time ever growing and it's more of an experiment than anything. I plan on doing a SCROG grow. I appreciate any advice given Day 4 after Planting the germinated seed The PC case Case open, Seedling at 5 days old. 1x 23w=100w 6500k CFL 1700 Lumens Future plans: -Replace foil with Mylar -Light proof -Add carbon filter -Get splitter and add more CFL's I'm currently waiting for my check to come in so I can do these upgrades. Edit: Will update journal as it progresses and the case gets upgrades
So I decided to ditch the PC case and go with a Rubbermaid container. It gives me a lot more room and the setup looks cleaner. 2x Exhaust fans Passive intake on side. The inside of the Rubbermaid. 1x 23=100w CFL 6500k. upgrading lights soon. I plan on putting 2 carbon filters on each exhaust, a mesh screen on the intakes, and also a light trap for the intakes and exhausts.
So the temperature here got really warm the past 2 days. I've tried my best to keep it cool but I think the warm temps during the 2 days caused some heat stress.
it went up to 90F outside the past 2 days. My grow box has good ventilation, but I'm just worried considering the ambient room temp is 84F. It's going to cool down this week but I just don't wanna stress the girl.
Man where I live it's hot my tent wis always between 82 and 91 and they love it. Just more water in my opinion Sent from my SM-N910T3 using Tapatalk
I have just read a bunch of Articles saying that they thrive in the heat so temperatures in the mid-eighties low nineties is not a big deal for him Sent from my SM-N910T3 using Tapatalk
I noticed the soil dried out really quick today. I gave her some water so hopefully it helps. Thanks for the response. Let's hope she keeps growing strong. Edit: I also moved the light further away by half inch.
Make sure the soil is dry 2 inches deep before u water again. They really don't need much Sent from my SM-N910T3 using Tapatalk
I check if its dry down a little past the first knuckle. It's what I've always heard. I'll give 2 inches a try one I transplant it.
I did the finger trick. And that's just testing moisture. I don't use that anymore. Weigh the pot. Let it dry out before watering feel how light it is. Water and feel how much heavier and remember it for future waterings. I'm following this one, If you go to uhaul you can get a wardrobe box about 4x2. With a metal bar for hanging clothes, but use that her to hang lights. It's 7 bucks. And it's thick cardboard with perfect holes already for air circulation just add fans. Setting it up for a friend of mine. Remember when using foil use the dull side not the shiny She looks great though Sent from my SM-G930W8 using Tapatalk
