First rap song which has ever provoked emotion from me...

  1. Day 'N Night by Kid Cudi.

Usually I think rap takes no talent or less talent than rock but this rap song is perfect. I don't see how it coulda been pulled off any better than it already is.

    Love this song.

So sad. Hope I never become a lonely stoner -__-

  2. where have you been?

  3. Sorry, but that's just incredibly sad. You clearly need to listen to less commercial music if you want to be able to appreciate hip-hop.

Kid Cudi is sorta somewhat kinda almost decent, given that he's a bullshit pop-rapper, but far far far far far far far from the level of talent that you'll find in a great many other artists with less notoriety.

  4. Not the most meaningful song by any means (this song is overanalyzed. he's lonely, he smokes pot to relieve his pain, he can't get over rejection, is isolated, puts on a front in the daytime like he's cool, but when night comes his pain, madness, and lack of peace haunts him), but whatever floats your boat, although I really like the beat.

  5. KiDi CuDi is a joker.

    Listen to some real rap.

  6. Nah, Kid CuDi is a really good rapper, actually... maybe you should listen to his music before you knock it. I used to think the same, then I actually downloaded a few songs, and he's probably my favorite modern rapper right now, he's amazing.

As for this thread, though, I don't agree whatsoever, but I guess it's not my opinon, lol! Listen to some Wax or Atmosphere... emotion provoking.

  7. Your a couple years late but it is a good song.

What's with all the CuDi hate? Damn

  8. I've yet to see any suggestions for good rappers.

ATLiens are ok. some songs are ok.

    I like one t-pain song.

some eminem songs, mainly the old ones.

and the one song that started this thread.

I'm mainly into shit like alternative rock and metal.
Some electronic shit too cause that sounds so good while high.

  9. This mexican always called me Kid Cudi, he said because I was white is why he called me that. I never understood. What a douchebag.

  10. Gift of Gab(/Blackalicious,) Sage Francis, Rakim, Aesop Rock, The Algorhythyms, P.O.S., myself (though I'm probably a bit biased) just to name a very select few.

Bam. Your list has been smashed by rappers far more thought(and emotion)-provoking than anyone you've listed. :smoking:

  11. not to hijack your thread, but see if you get any emotion from this song.

Way different style than the one you posted.

  12. I kid you not, when I first saw this thread, Uncommon Valor was the first thing to pop into my head =)

JMT is great, and Vinnie P has the sickest flow of anyone still putting out albums, imo.

Razorblade Salvation is another good one from that album, and Philosophy of Horror is an absolute must listen.

    move past the radio brother.

  14. Tupac is the only rapper that has ever provoked emotion from me. His music is deep.

  15. you gotta listen to better rap, yo.

  16. Sage Francis, Jedi Mind are my favorite rappers. Listen to Razorblade Salvation, War Ensemble.

BTW Meursault you're fucking incredible. The Myth is such a sick song i've played it 3 times in a row now.

  17. Cudi is not my favorite rapper, but he has some good stuff. Definitely my favorite mainstream rapper.

  18. Have you heard In The Event of My Demise?
"A outlaw, WHEN I WAS BORN THEY PREPARED MY DITCH

    SAID I WONT LIVE LONG
    Statistic show
    I'M TRYNA PASS 24, A REALISTIC GOAL"

    That line hits me.
