First plant, looking for advice

Discussion in 'First Time Marijuana Growers' started by Scottm2_99, Jan 19, 2021.

  1. I germinated my first seed dec 16th. She will be 6 weeks old this week. She’s an OG KUSH Autoflower. She’s planted in foxfarms organic soil. I haven’t given her any extra nitrogen and just started giving her a light bloom foxfarm bloom nut. So far she’s been in 24/0 LED lighting. She’s about 24inch tall now. My question is she doesn’t seem to be showing any signs for pre flowering. According to what I’ve read, she should flowering this upcoming week. She also seems tall for what I’ve read. Should be about 16 inches. Color wise she looks fine and I don’t see anything that would indicate why she isn’t showing signs for flowering or I’m just not seeing it because I’m inexperienced.

  2. might not be an auto..or its a very long auto. My autos show sex in about 10 days from sprout, and at 6 weeks there's definitive buds forming.

I'd double check your packaging if you still have it, and double check your order. sometimes mistakes get made in packaging/shipping.

Is this supposed to be femmed also? Either way, start hunting for sex stuff around the 7th- 8th node...if it's not auto, now is about the time it will show sex. (closeup pic of the top plz if you want an opinion)

  5. Yes it’s supposed to be a feminized auto. I can see what look like small hairs on the very top this morning but not sure. There is a better pic of the top. Thank you for your time to look at it

  7. right on man. Make sure you're seeing the white pistils coming from a calyx, and not the green bract/stipule thingie.

  10. Hey everyone I’m new when it comes to growing. So pardon me if I ask stupid questions.
I planted two auto flowers 5 days ago. They grew super fast for the first 2 days then but slowed down idk they haven’t really changed much over the last 3 days. I guess I’m just being impatient but some opinion on how they are doing would be appreciated :)

  11. Mine grew in spurts. The plant is focusing on roots at the moment. Don’t overwater or over fertilize. At 3 weeks you will see rapid Growth.

  15. Hey everyone hope you’re all keeping safe I thought I’d just give an update on my plants this is 2 weeks going strong.

One is super tall Ian aware of it but It’s not breaking or snapping so it’s just a bit stretched.

any advice let me know I’d rather do it properly

  17. This will sound impossible and very wrong, but I’m using halogen light bulbs at them moment I need to invest in a grow light but I’m not sure what’s good for a cheap budget unfortunately I’m just using what I have.

  18. Try putting it closer but not to close and look on growell

its not just blue or red its the nanometer wavelength in which its emitted 420 and 460nm are best in blue spectrum for veg 633 and 660 nm red spectrum for flowering. or far-red of 700-800nm for flower

however the red and blues are just for supplement. blue aids in root development along with plant and root health red aids in flower transition and bud production. you also need a full spectrum light preferably with uv
