First piece?

Discussion in 'Beginner Cannabis Consumption & Tips' started by learner420, Mar 13, 2010.

  1. I'm getting my first piece of glass after only smoking joints because I've heard how economic it is with pot. I went into the headshop the other day to look at what they had, and in my price range (£10) they had; some pretty nice looking coloured glass spoons, a footlongish glass bong/bubbler, and a selection of small coloured acrylic (i think) bongs.

    Points-
    Pipe:
    •colourfull
    •portable
    •easy to conceal
    •easy to use
    Glass bong:
    •better hits
    •easily breakable, thin glass
    •large
    Acrylic:
    •hard to break
    •plastic bad to smoke from?
    •portable with good hits

So which do you think would be best for me?
I'd normally be smoking with one or two but not in big groups

  2. For the fist piece get a glass spoon. Every stoner needs a glass spoon. Its cool to chill with inside or out, its harder to break than a bong or bubbler, and its extremely portable. If its your first piece, get a spoon.

  3. Fuck acrylic, it cracks so easy, and you can NOT clean it(same with wood and plastic).
Get a glass spoon or a glass Chillum, they are very small, portable and simple. You can get one for $10 and up. A nice one should be around 20 bucks.
Make sure the bowl hole is real small, or else it will be very easy to pull hot ash through.
Remember that you can always bargain in headshops. Myfriend got a glass bubble bottom bong for $35 and it was about 10" tall

  4. Definitely get a glass spoon. My preference for glass pieces NORMALLY (half of the time) is like this:

    1. Bubbler
    2. Spoon
    3. Bong

Spoons are amazing to me. I just got a new one and its amazing. While some people like smoother hits, I actually like the slightly rough hits because it seems to provide more of a taste and a better sense of how much you're getting in the hit.
