I am in the proccess of building my first pc growbox. I was wondering if I could use 4 westinghouse 23w 6500k bulbs instead of 26w - 6500k. What is the real difference? I am starting with a small pc box about 19"x16"x8". Yes it is small but it's my first. Any feedback would be appreciated.
Heh, Ive never grown in a PC before but I imagine heat may become an issue with 4 CFLs... I think most PC grows Ive seen have had only 3... but as long as your ventilation is good you should be golden man... good luck post pics soon.
Ok great advice on using 3 cfls. I have another question about plant containers. I have two styrofoam containers that are 3-1/2" diameter x 4-1/2 long. Will these work for the plants to start after they sprout? I am going to be planting Purple Kush using Foxfarm Ocean Forest soil and their 3 pack of plant food etc. They actually sell this locally in my are of Indiana. Is there anything I need besides these for the plants? Here are a couple of pics of my pc grow so far. Plan on using some reflective tape on all the corners & seems. Peace
Def never seen the styrofoam containers, dunno if they will hinder or not... youll end up transplanting so fast maybe you could get away with it. See what others say... im new to this, could be mistaken about styrofoam.
