First Outdoor Grow

Discussion in 'Growing Marijuana Outdoors' started by BlackWeeds, Jun 18, 2020.

  1. Hello GC,

Long time member, I've been away many years but happy to be back growing again.

I'm growing outdoors for the first time ever, previously I grew indoors in a 4x4 tent. Some previous grow journals in my history if you feel so inclined.

I got some clones recently transplanted on 6/14, and have decided to go all out with a few sativas.

    2 x Sour Diesel [SD]
    1 x White Russian [WR]

I decided to go with the highest root capacity possible with one of each strain in 25 gallon pots. The second SD is in a 5 gallon pail.

Old growth is a little rough, but the new growth seems to be healthy for the most part.

Instead of posting questions in various forums, I'm going to journal my grow here and look for advice along the way!

    Cheers,

    BlackWeeds

  2. Tomorrow marks one week on the calendar since transplant. Things are looking positive, all three babies are getting used to their new home. I'm seeing a decent amount of new growth.

WR & SD2 have been given some Low Stress Training (LST) today. I also started them on 1/2 Strength Regime of Technaflora line-up.

Following their instructions the next two days will be straight water. I forgot to mention the two big girls were topped on transplant day. It looks like SD1 was already topped so I left it alone.

I've been watering about 1.5 gallons a day per plant with the heat we've been having. I generally check 1-2" down for soil moisture with my fingers to check if they need water.

I also enclosed my grow area to protect from critters.

  3. I haven't posted in awhile, I've been feeding nutrients at full strength since my last post.

Almost at day 30 and they have exploded. I think I mislabeled the White Russian, it's obvious now that it is the biggest plant. A family member also has clones from the same mother and I've been able to see from the growth that the WR is much more vigorous in height. The foliage looks more dark and waxy.

The Sour Diesel are much more squat with more bushy growth. The foliage is lighter in colour and not shiny.

    Without further ado, here's the gallery since the last post. 3812%20(3).jpg 3816%20(1).jpg 3818%20(1).jpg 3812%20(2).jpg 3811%20(7).jpg 3819%20(4).jpg 3811%20(6).jpg 3811%20(5).jpg 3819%20(3).jpg 3811%20(4).jpg 3823.jpg 3825%20(6).jpg 3824%20(2).jpg 3825%20(4).jpg 3824%20(1).jpg 3825.jpg

Making a quick post to separate this from my previous update, I'm noticing something is munching on my foliage a tiny bit on one plant, any ideas what would cause this?

If I recall some soapy water spray in the evening might help prevent whatever it is from being able to eat my foliage.

    Thanks
