is this nutrient burn? I added some organic nutrients to FFOF. did not do much research before doing this and did not know its good to let this medium "cook" and from what I have read FFOF is not really the best for this but its what I got so im going to use it. I did not use a lot of this organic Blood meal, fish bone meal, and kelp meal so Im just trying to find out what is the problem... thanks and this one has some other problem cause it hasn't got much nutrients at all just into straight FFOF with a lkittle perlite that's all. Its about to be transplanted but I want to figure out what im doing wrong. thanks
I guess im really just trying to know if it is absolutely necessary to cook it and how easy is i9t to burn plants using only organic nutrients? thanks people
So you added blood, bone, and kelp meals to the FFOF and then used the soil without cycling it first? Please show a picture of the whole plant. It helps to diagnose problems.
You have some issues, there's no doubt. By now you know that you should have cycled your amendments before planting. Especially that high N blood meal. At this point there's nothing that you can really do. But I wouldn't sweat it. The apical (branch/shoot end) growth looks very healthy. Those plants look developed enough to me to say that while you may continue to have some of those "deficiency/nute burn" issues on your fan leaves for a little while, you'll find that things will even out and disappear in short time. Don't ask how long, I have not idea. It depends on too many factors. One other thing that might be causing/adding to your problems is overwatering. So how much of each amendment did you add to how much soil? What size pots are you in, and how do you determine when to water and how much?
