So me and my friends are gonna do a micro grow in a 250w cfl grow box. This will be in a shed and winter is coming soon. Will my plant die during the winter even if it is in a grow box and shed? Sent from my 831C using Tapatalk
If that's the lowest it will go in the dead of night, in the depth of winter then you should be fine. Have the lights running in the night and off in the day, this will help balance out the temperature. As for your choice of light, have you considered a 250w HPS instead? It uses the same electricity but will easily double the yield. If you bought a 400w or 600w dimmable HPS, you could run it at 250w and if at some point you wanted to increase the size of the set up, you can simply turn up the power instead of needing to buy a new light Or, buy a dimmable 250w HPS and run it at 125w. That way you will get a similar yield to your 250w CFL but use half the amount of electricity
