  1. hey everybody! im new here. i tried to sign up on 420mag..com forum but it wouldnt let me for whatever reason. so here i am.....so i recently bought a 33 ft. camper for $150!!!!!! (i actually traded an ounce of mid-grades for it) =) and it is my man-cave/smoke spot. so i am using the back bedroom for my grow room(s) two of the closets. the first mesuring around 3x3x3 for veg.and another about 3x3x5 for flower. i have a sunleave ballast with a whopping 1000w cfl (yeah you heard me right)  wich i paid nothing for! i work on foreclosures around my state and i often find and keep things that may have led to the previous owners eviction. lol not my problem though hahaha. so i got 2 of the ballasts and a seperate mogul socket. my estimate around $600+....before i found them, i planted quite a few seeds outside wich quickly got eatten by wildlife, i live really close to a cranberry bog, so im guessing deer... those bastards! after a devastating blow early i was left with 2 plants! out of about 100+ i kno i shouldve fenced my areas, but i didnt so i dnt wanna hear about it! lol so as soon as i got my lights setup, i transplanted both into a 1 gl. container, #1 is responding rapidly and growing around 1/2 in per day, #2 not so much =( but im slowly nursing it back to health..as of 5/25,within 2 days i noticed they are liking there new home! i germed 8 more seeds and planted on 5/28(bagseed) but not by anymeans regular bud...the previously mentioned 2 plants are unknown seeds and quite possibly old.. i found them when i got my lights/ballasts.i have got everything i have for absolutely zero cost, i ordered a sample pack of nutes. wich include a rooting hormone, a photosynthises boost, nurish-L, and a yield enhancer. so far i have only used a very light mix with the root dip. i have a plant re-vitalizer, called h-b 101... i was skeptical about using unknown nutes on my babies... but decided i can live with the loss of the plant if thats what the gods intended.. my best guesse is that hb101 is nothing more then a h202 (hydrogen peroxide) consentrate, but i have decided to add a few drops of h202 in with my water anyway, after much research. i rigged 2 fans for the flower room, from a microwave fan and a space heater fan. 1 for intake, and the other for hardening -off. my soil is dark, rich, loam and they love it.i will be going to homedepot to finish the last touches on my flower room, in the next few days. im going to pick up a hps bulb, and look into co2 products, today i popped a small c02 cartridge and hopefully they will benefit from it. (i have done some jail time and learned how to make homebrew) wich releases alot of c02 in the process. im thinking of making a small batch just for the c02 release... but ill have to try a closed expeirement with only 1-2 plants so not to harm all of the plants if it has a negative effect... so thats about it for now, more to come, let me know any thoughts you might have, love peace and chicken grease!

Crazy, love it. You might find temps get hot with a HPS in that sort of space, your going to need some proper air flow for that id say

  5. my cfl gets the room hot too, nothing i cant handle.

  6. you are a long way from making good use of CO2.

Get your shit all tricked out and add it last.

  7. after doing some homework, i found its never to early, i see no harm. i love watching plants grow day to day and cant wait to see if a lil co2 gets em high lol

  8. Yeah I'm gonna wanna see where this goes for sure, sounds like a good time but just a couple notes...
    1. Supplement nutes shouldn't go anywhere near seedlings until at least 2 weeks as even the lowest grade fert soils can burn the bebes.
    2. Focus on dealing w air circulation while maintaining an air tight, cool enough, environment before getting into co2 enrichment or you could easily end up throwing $$$ down the drain w wasted tanks, cart, ect. Plus if you're serious about it you'll at least need a regulator/ monitor setup.
    3. Not sure what kinda camper setup you got but make sure the outlets can handle that ballast (usually this isn't an issue but a good friend of mine ran into electrical issues and blew out his setup w a similar sit.)
    4. Get a hygrometer, closed spaces need to maintain the right humidity, and they help immensely.
And last but not least be careful with any kind of lighting that was previously used (especially if it was left behind) i tried out the cfl game a couple years ago (have since switched to a HPS/CFL combo which does wonders btw) and i have yet to find a decent bulb that'll last more than 2 grows (their intensity diminishes FAST half way through a second run)

  9. thnx mr. bud, were on the same page, i do reasearch and im quite crafty, ill be posting a few pics tomoro. and i have plenty on power with some strong cords. i apreciate that tho. and the bulb i have was new in the box. price tag of $117. not a bad find if you ask me
