Well this is the first harvest, this was some pretty good bag seed that was grown 12/12 from germination for 12 weeks in a cabinet about the size of an upper kitchen cabinet. I had 330 watts of CFL. Call it a noobie thing but I had to weigh it, as you can see it comes to over 9 1/2 oz. from 3 plants! Now I now I will lose a lot of weight from drying (although I did not water for the last 3 days) but even if I did lose 2/3rds of the weight I will still have almost 1/4 pound (I kind of expect 5 to 6oz. dry) heres some pics and a link to the grow if you're interested. http://forum.grasscity.com/indoor-grow-journals/866652-first-grow-v1-2-a.html
70% loss, not get 70% of the total. If you have 10 oz and lose 70% of the weight you will end up with 3 oz.
That's about what I figured, dry weight. I did let these dry out the last 3 days with no water, and in those little 6" pots they were pretty dry. I will know in a week. I've read that people have anywhere from 50% to 70% loss so we'll see.
I should have a contest, whoever guesses closest wins. I'm going to stay with my original 3.5 oz. You are right, it's a big stem on my biggest bud. I'll probably do the final trim and put it into jars next monday.
Nice haul, Bigdad. Congrats on the bud, can't wait for a smoke report, enjoy..oh btw, I'm in for 3.2 oz
If you trim it more I'mma go with 2.5-3oz. Stuff looks really nice, looking forward to a toke report.
You know what was hard, and I wonder if others felt this way on their first grow, cutting them down after I had babied them for 12 weeks.
Just finished putting it in jars, kind of a tie on the weight guess. I ended up with 2.75 oz. going into the jars. (weighed the stems after I got it in jars) Boguisty had it nailed with his guess of 2 1/2 to 3oz. Just finished a bowl of the trimmings, it is fucking awesome!!! Very strong high, almost head rush, and smooth even with no cure. On to grw 2.
Been there... I always give my ladies a nice hug and a "I'm sorry & thankyou!" right before I snip em down. Then they always say "I forgive & your welcome!" for months after that so I dont' feel so bad.. Great job man, looks awesome for some CFL's.
